About Us

About Us

Our Northwood, Ohio Adventist Community Services Center is one of 1,250 locations, large and small,  across the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

In June 2010, following the tornado that tore through Lake Township, a Disaster Response team  was sent to our community to help individuals and families affected by the tragedy.

A few years ago we began offering free bread to our local community. Soon we added a clothing pantry, followed by a non-perishable food pantry, and free community supper program. Our programs are sponsored locally by the Northwood Seventh-day Adventist Church in Northwood.

With the growth of these community programs we built a Community Services Center addition to our local church which was completed in September 2019.

All of our programs are free.

Bread Program

We receive our bread from the Panera Bread bakery-cafe located in Perrysburg. Our organization participates in Panera Bread’s Day-End Dough-Nation® program and we are very grateful for their support.

Donated bread from Panera is distributed every Thursday morning (9:00 am - 10:00 am) from our Community Services Center.

Food Pantry

Our food pantry  consist primarily of non-pershable food items. We hope to expand this program in the future.

Clothing Pantry

We offer women's, men's and children's clothing.

In addition we receive non-clothing items (household goods) on a periodic basis.

Community Suppers

We also offer Free Community Suppers on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Please join us for a great meal and conversation with your neighbors and friends.

Blood Pressure Testing

We also conduct free blood pressure tests every Thursday morning from 9-10 am.
